I am running the Advan Apex year round. To be fair I live in Houston, TX. The coldest weather we might see is just below freezing maybe for a day or so. Wet traction is acceptable for a 280tw performance tire. I'm sure the Michelin PS4 wet traction would be a little better, but they were not available when I needed to order and they were 30%+ more than the Advan Apex. I'm not unhappy with them, but I might try to Michelins next.
Ahh I see. Are you still planning on going 265 with the Michelin if you get those next?

After reading everyone's advice, I have a high probability of choosing front and rear tires for 255 40 18, and may buy ADVAN A050
Don't expect any mileage or wet traction from that tire. And they need to warm up too, be very cautious when its cold or the tires aren't warm.

My wheels are 18x9.5 et38 and I've been running the 255/40/18 all the way around and would definitely recommend that size if you don't plan on lowering the car. I'm also staying at stock height. 265/35 has a little bigger gap which works better when you're lowered but not so much when at stock height. I think the stock wheel and tire set up is overall diameter of 25.8", the 255/40/18 is right at 26" and the 265/35/18 is 25.3" so technically the 255 is the closest to stock OD. I'm not positive on those numbers as I'm going off memory but I know it's something along those lines. Either way, I think the 255/40/18 feels great for daily driving and performance doesn't seem to be compromised much if at all.

255/40/18 all around. There is zero need for you to stagger your sizes.

Back on post #2 I said this.
I'd go 255/40 all around.
Two pages later...

The OP is staying stock height. 255/40 will keep his speedo closest to stock, keep the wheel gap closest to stock and give him decent ride quality and decent handling with the proper tire. It's the only size that does all of that.

I wonder how many more pages long this thread will go. lol

seeing other people recommend what you did should only convince OP that this is the right choice.

265/35R18 will lower the center of gravity and provide more stability during touge up in Malaysia.

If you aren’t planning to lower then I would also say stick with the 255/40 as it’s closest to OEM diameter. Here is mine on OEM height.
I gotta say though that I think for the street I need a stickier (and wider) tire than the pilot sport 4’s i have. Thinking about getting the falken azenis 660 next. I’ll break traction a bit in 3rd as is.

Do you guys have any rubbing at all with these setups? I will be switching over to 18s with 255/40 PS4S tires once my stock tires wear out. I don't plan on lowering the car, but I can't decide between the "safe" +45/44 offset or the more flush +38ish offset.

i dont rub because the wheels are 18x9 +45, if you go with the popular 18x9.5 +38 you may rub from what i have read here.

I have +35 and I’ll rub only on a hard dip and it’s the side marker light. Very minor.
