Why not just wash your car and put some wax on the grille? Isn't PlasticX more for polishing out scratches in plastic?

So I used some turtle wax bug remover on it and it permanently stained the grill unfortunately....im probably going to try and use some compound or plasticx to restore it

IF you are experienced with a polisher, you can easily polish defects out of the soft black glossy plastics (not, you cannot on matte/textured plastics).
You could absolutely try this by hand with something such as Meguair's Ultimate Compound (just thinking of OTS products you may have access to), as well as a light hand foam cutting pad.

We polish the gloss black plastics all the time.
