Plastic inner fender liners came loose

It snowed a wet nasty snow last week. I drove in to work and could not turn my wheels to back into my parking spot. Crunching occurred after multiple tries until success.. The temperature rose above 32 degrees throughout the day. Well, on my way home I noticed that I could hear my tires rubbing something. When I got home I jacked up my car and took off the front wheels only to notice my inner liners fell onto the tires because all of the clips were missing and the fenders were full of ice. I dug the ice out of the wheel wells and out from the steering rack, installed 10 new push in clips and was back in service. It is weird to have this happen. I have an upgraded skid plate made out of thick aluminum and I don’t remember my wheel liners missing clips. Anyone else ever have this issue? BTW it iced and stuff again today. I went to work without issue

I have not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the ice. Glad it's all good to go now.

I HAVE!
I lowered my hatch this spring and, consequently, broke every piece of plastic under the car during the first Buffalo storm this winter. At the moment, I'm not running the plastic inner fender you pictured. I have a "DO NOT ENTER" sign as my engine skid plate.

What upgraded skid plate are you running? I've been thinking of making a one-piece skid plate from bumber to subframe with a sheet of aluminum and cutting/bending it to fit.
