Yes mark where you want to position your dock and predrill with 1/16” bit. It’s made of fiberglass so can’t just screw in as easily. Once screwed in, it’s rock solid.

I used self tapping and got it through with my bare hands. Super tight and solid fit.

I used a drill to screw the screws directly into the mount. Just like screwing into a piece of wood. No holes for me before hand. Don't let the screw spin once fully seated.

phone mount and dock is great safety, no fidgeting and looking for phone while driving.

for me...

1. get in and dock phone
2. start car
3. carplay auto starts at last stop and hondata app auto starts on head unit with "auto ok"
4. open escort live app on phone (auto connects to max360 radar detector)

drive and enjoy...

I used the screws that came with the pro clip to screw right into the kuda mount.
Been solid so far.

The permanently installed bulk out is a KUDA mount, which looks really tacky regardless of version bought, with the actual phone holder being a two-part ProClip holder​

Honestly, for 15$ this phone mount is perfect.

Magnet is strong, it has a vice like clip to hold it to the fin in vents. I have my mine mounted on the passenger side center vent.

The trick to install is to aim fins towards the floor, get clip around back and then screw the adapter to tighten. Comes with 3 magnets with actual 3M tape to adhere.

I am super happy with it.

I suggest using the rectangle magnet as with the design of our cars having the phone horizontal is the only option on vent mounted holders.

If it wasn't for the fact that we need a USB connection for Android Auto to function on OEM head unit I wouldn't even need this. I just don't like leaving it in the cubby near my knees in center console.
