This could be a dead thread at this point but if people are still interested on which route to go, I did the calculations below.Depending on what you’re looking for a bigger intercooler may or may not benefit you as Michael Baxi explains here at 1:51 and his closing thoughts at 12:31. but all are high quality products.
Size literally means almost nothing. This could be a dead thread at this point but if people are still interested on which route to go, I did the calculations below.
Stock - 26.77 * 5.63 * 2.52 = 379.802052 cu/in
PRL - 26.5 * 3.5 * 7.25 = 672.4375 cu/in
Perrin - 26 * 3.15 * 8.5 = 696.15 cu/in
Mishimoto - 28 * 7.6 * 4.7 = 1,000.16 cu/in
The Perrin has a slightly more surface area than the PRL but not by much. The reason why Baxi felt the lag is most likely due to how big the Mishimoto Intercooler is in comparison.
If it were up to me, I would go with whoever is giving the better deal between PRL and Perrin. Both excellent products.
To each his ownSize literally means almost nothing.
I disagree. Turbo lagging will come into play.Size literally means almost nothing.
