I see a lot of dealers trying to push this PermaPlate (https://www.permaplate.com) up charge.

does this cover anything?
Has anyone had experience with filing a claim

The best way I could find out about the product is by looking through the MSDS because it tells you what's in the product and other forums.

The best I could find out of it. You're free to email Permaplate for an MSDS

http://lvuc.com/msds/Permaplate_Renewer.pdf --the address in the report is same address on permaplates website.

Unless that dealer applied a true polysiloxane coating ("Ceramic Coating") for the exterior of the car. Like truly applied ceramic coating takes like a day or two to cure in a controlled environment.

I wouldn't get Permplate. Second, just get yourself a bottle of synthetic paint sealant for protection lasting a few months. Correctly applied "Ceramic Coating" lasts a few years and costly because of prep work which is critical to making it last as long as 5 years. You can't get lazy with paint upkeep and regular washes if you want your car's paint to last. Also, get a car cover if you keep it outside.
