Has anyone dabbled with paintless dent removal? I have 2 small dent on my Si that look like they would be an easy fix. Thinking of buying some toolage for PDR.

I would hardly call dent repair "pointless". Dents are always an eyesore and should be removed, preferably using a paintless method. ;)
Paintless** GD auto correct.

I have a '20 SI coupe. I had dents on each rear quarter panel like the one in your photo removed with PDR.

Did you do the work? If so what tools did you use?

I had a local PDR shop do the work. The cost was about $150 per dent. Many PDR shops do mobile work as well as work for dealerships and body shops. It is quite a skill!

PDR is one of those things that truly requires a fine hand, a keen eye, and more often than not a sixth sense. Or at least a fair bit of experience. I might fancy myself near-pro when it comes to turning a wrench, but I've never had dent repair results that are as good as my preferred local PDR wizard. I mean, look at this (not my car lol):

Best part is that he makes up for being a grumpy cuss by charging silly low rates and giving results that are worth orders of magnitude more than what he charges. The guy just has a way with sheet metal.

Absolutely look into doing it yourself, maybe tackle the odd "simple" dent when you can, but take my advice and become friends with a PDR pro. Totally worth it.

Have a good PDR guy do the work. The good ones are magicians. I mean DIY is fine for most things. But for example, I don't think DIY brain surgery would turn out as well as if a pro did it.

My dent it so little, I'm going to attempt (at some point) to push it out from the back, will apply a. Little heat with the old heat gun. If if feel I am pushing it a decent amount and nothing is happening I will for sure abort. I wouldn't dare try anything more than the little dent.

I started out at a welder/fabricator so I have some sense of working with metal. I'm not at all scared to try but I will definitely look into the proper tools that are meant for PDR, not just tap at it with a ball peen hammer and hope it pops right out.

Will see, I may just bitch out and call a guy...

In addition to the proper tools make sure you buy yourself one of those specialized mirrors those guys use too.

I'll do some research as to what is used and try to get all that is needed for success.

I'll update once I do get to this, it may not be anytime soon since it's getting much colder now in NJ.

I would definitely not DIY it. Let someone skilled in the trade do it. It's relatively cheap. I had a mobile PDR car do mine in my driveway. Cost was $140.
