Painted Steel Wheels

My stock steel wheels were starting to get pretty rusty so I decided to take them off, sand and paint them.

For whatever reason I got the idea to paint them silver instead of black. I didn't have my expectations very high because they're still just the basic steel wheels but I still can't decide if I like them any more than black.

What do you guys think?

Haha thanks. I know just buying a new set of wheels would be ideal but I figured since my car is black, the contrast might look nice.

@goblue777 the term murdered out refers to a black vehicle with black wheels. You stepped away from the norm and It just fits. Nice job.

I actually like the look. Very nice. Did you paint them with the tires on....and what kind of paint did you use?

My black steel wheels are rusted too....but I'm wondering why did they rust to begin with?

As you can see in my profile picture my '82 (?) Civic had steel wheels and they never rusted in NY snow and salt.

As you followed your own sense style---well, you did great. Frankly, I like being considered an outsider. I have an Si and I am thinking of installing steel wheels--black--and adding Moon (equipped) dog dish and/or Moon rings. What are your thoughts?
