Paint protection film (ppf)

I’m considering getting ppf on my CTR. Any opinions on this idea? My car has only 1100 miles so the paint looks really great still. I’d like some critiques concerning appearance and any down sides on this. Thanks.

Would only recommend if you intend to keep the car long term. It’s expensive and doesn’t really add to the resale value. Would also research the different films and installers in your area. This is one of those things you don’t want to cheap out on.

The only downside I remember is that some insurance companies don’t replace it if you have damage on the covered area. So check with your insurance company as well. USAA does cover up to $5000 in “modifications” but some other do not.

This is a great point, I hadn’t even considered this!

PPF is well worth the cost of application if your car is going to see any type of highway usage. I've had incidents with debris that left numerous PPF'd cars unscathed.

Will do. Oasis window tint offers the service; I’m going to get info and quote and will let you know. I think he is the best window tinter around.

So there's a place here in Cleveland called Ronnie's, supposedly great with tint. Been around forever. I'm needing window tint as well, I just got the car a week ago. I have an appt with them for this weekend, but maybe I could get a deal on both from Oasis? It's worth checking into, I guess.

I recommend total image window tinting in Chattanooga. They did Xpel Ceramic tint on my CTR and Ceramic Pro coating. Both products were of great quality. They do Xpel branded PPF, which i hear is pretty great. I deeply regret not doing it immediately. I already have 10-15 paint chips and I’m not even to 6000 miles yet.
