So I recently tried to fix a small dent on the drivers side fender. As I did try, I cracked the paint. I have a quote for $450 with 4 hours of labor , but was thinking if it would be cheaper and more effective to try to buy a new/used(freshly painted) fender and swap it out. If you were in my shoes what would be the best option. I would of saved around $250 if I would of just left the dent alone.

That looks fixable with paintless dent repair. Not so sure now that paint is cracked.
Someone opened their door into my front passenger fender and put a quarter sized dent in it. See attached pics. I went to Dent Works, local shop here, and they massaged it out in 15 minutes and $60 later. Results are amazing. Very pleased. Just need a little touch up paint now.

I see this as a good excuse to get carbon fiber fenders. Honda doesn’t just sell painted body panel replacements.

Just do what the shop recommends. Usually the costs between repairing a fender and replacing it are the same due to the amount of extra labor in removing one for the other. They may have to get an aftermarket fender as well. It's better to repair the genuine Honda fender.
