OK, what does this button do?

Yes, I looked in my manual, but I couldn't find any mention of this button on the right next to the hatch release button. What does it do? 2017 HB EX. Thanks!

This round button is for locking/unlocking the car. Same thing as the button on your fob or the one on the door handle.

Discovered it accidentally! Very useful for me as I often take my big gym bag out of the trunk and can just lock the car from there.

Ah, the Sport Touring does...I guess that's why I have it.

Sport touring hatch - it only locks the car. Of course the long one unlocks it and releases the hatch.
Not sure how handy it is with the walk away lock enabled, but as mentioned it does let you re-lock if you grab something out of the hatch.

If you have the Walk Away Key Fob feature this is useless.

I've never used it even on my Murano.

Its the button the turn on the nerve gas for the interior of the car. For your unsuspecting passengers.
