So I haven't gotten anything to popup warning me about it, but I checked the Maintenance option in the dash, and my Oil Life is at 40% at 5.5k miles, but it seems like this is the first time it's showing the A1 code below it (I do not remember seeing it).

I thought I would only be getting the A1 code at around 15% oil life. Am I mistaken?

All that A1 means is what service you'll be needing when the 15% light comes on.
A-Oil change
1-Tire Rotation

It doesn't mean you need it now, it just lets you know what you'll be needing.

I appreciate the quick reply. I thought that could've been the case, but I have never paid attention to the A1 code below the oil percentage.

I can expect an actual warning to come up when the oil change is due?

When the oil change is due there will be a warning with the code showing up again.

It wouldn't be that hard to have a display system where you don't have to decode the info. Perhaps another screen with the details. If not, then what about something mnemonic, like OC, TR instead of A1. Just my 2C.
