So I have had my 17 Sport for about 8-9 months. It is bone stock. At 1100 miles it is showing 50% oil life. It also went from 60-50 in two days and about 250 miles. It sat in the garage over the winter and occasionally pulled outside to work on other things. I have only put my foot in it a couple times and very rarely does it even see 4K rpm. I don’t sit in traffic or drive in a congested area.
Does the monitor take time sitting in storage into consideration when it calculates life? I’ll keep an eye on it but an oil change at 2k or so doesn’t sound right. I’ll prob swing by the dealer and pick their brain as well.

First oil change should be 3000 miles. Break in. After that, it seems to have slowed down the "Oil Life" meter. My first oil change was at 3,000, and I'm not sure if my second was 3,000 or 5,000.

First change isn't 3000 miles...it's when the oil life indicator says to do so. I'm at almost 8000 miles and haven't had to change the oil yet, although it's coming up soon since I'm at 20%.

My maintenance minder told me to change my oil the first time at 2700 miles. I changed it, next few were at the 5000 mile mark since my last change. His is at 50% at 1500 miles, do the math.

I'd have to think the 8-9 months has to factor in to the way the MM calculates things. When you do drive it, is it mostly very short distances like less than 5 miles?

When first got it I did a mix of longer drives and I did do quite a few 7 mile trips around town. I think it went into storage will 700 on the clock. It sat in the garage for 5 months after that and occasionally pulled it outside to work on other projects or vehicles. Its still a mix or short trips (to the gym) but I have started to drive it all over since weather is shaping up. Maybe it will slow down a bit.
