When I worked at Honda, no we weren’t looking through your cars software like that trying to see if something was changed or not. Sometimes we would do updates to the software but even then, techs aren’t looking to fist you. With that said techs aren’t idiots. If you leave the module plugged in, the screen in the glove of console, or some stickers saying so and so tuned, than yeah they can figure it out ahah. If the tech doesn’t openly document it when he closes his r.o. Honda won’t know.

Good advice, but for those like me that bought a service plan with the car cause I don't want to hassle with oil changes anymore - great question.
Seems like it comes with other hassles like paranoia with modded vehicles or whether they remember to put the oil drain plug back in. There are plenty of stories about that on here. I get people not wanting to be under their cars but it sure does provide peace of mind.
