Oil Catch Can: Yes (or) No?

He said they were gunked up. He’s also running a PCV catch can. I don’t want to imagine what the engine would look like without it

Crc intake valve and turbo cleaner every 10k miles would help too.

Nah... It depends one what your needs are I guess. Whether or not a PCV will be the saving grace for this engine is not clear since super high mileage examples aren't out there. In theory it'll help prevent gunk up but it won't catch everything and you'll still feel butt hurt if the engine loses performance down the road.

If you're getting a new car in like 5 years save your money unless you want the next owner to be slightly happier.
