Oil Analysis Collection & Dealerships

Hello everyone, I will be taking my 2020 Sport for it's first oil change next week. I have 3 oil changes+tire rotations from when I bought the car. I was wondering if dealerships ever gave anyone trouble asking them to collect a sample of the used oil to send for testing? Thanks for sharing your experiences in advance.

Wouldn’t count on getting a clean sample from a lube tech.

just use a fluid pump and take a sample from the dipstick tube before taking it in.

I tried doing this once ~2 years ago on my '16 civic. Dealer never expressed an issue but the sample bottle returned to me was filled maybe 1/8 of the way....

My '18 touring has never seen a dealer or mechanic so far. All work done myself.

I suggest following the advice of The Vyzitor.
