Changing lanes I didn't see the little car next to me it was my fault.

Anyone know how to get the tire residue off the side? I tried on the way to work briefly at my house with tar/bug remover and gentle chrome polish but no bueno.

Been seeing too many R Owners damaging their cars lately :( Could have been worse and glad everyone is safe!

Try some of this: Griots Track Spray
Might need to polish it out too.

i HATE when people hang in my blind spot and I try to make a concerted effort to not be in anyone's blind spot either. Sorry to hear about your accident - that sucks but happy to hear no one was hurt. Vehicles are replaceable but people aren't

The Suma mirror replacements can also be handy for getting a better view of the blindspots. They have a wider angle lens.

I find that the worst blind spot in this car is 2 lanes over on the driver’s side. I’ve almost hit a couple people merging onto 3 or 4 lane roads. And of course there’s only lane watch on the passenger side. So now I break my neck every time I'm switching multiple lanes at once just to be sure.

Sorry to see my friend, just glad it's fairly minor and repairable. Hope for a quick fix post up after pictures!

On the tire you could try heating it up a bit first with a hairdryer and see if it will come off then?

Brake cleaner works. Use quite a bit or else it will just smear.

In the past on my race car (track cars accumulate a hundred rubber marks each weekend), I used a mild solvent by Würth which was really good at dissolving them. I don't know if the Würth stuff is still being manufactured, so I would try something like WD40. However, judging from the damage, it doesn't seem worth worrying about the rubber when you're going to get new door skins anyway when you get it fixed.
