Well everyone today is the day and this thread is that thread!!!

I am super excited on behalf of my team to officially announce that 27WON Honda Performance will be designing and creating a W2 Turbocharger upgrade to complement the ever-popular W1 upgrade we created a few years back. Many of you have been asking for this and some have even speculated but this thread makes it official. We are bringing a W2 to market to satisfy your taste for more power.

I am going to use this thread as the official design thread where I will post pics, blog links, videos, answer questions, and more. I will be updating this over the coming months and encourage you all to follow along, ask questions, and get involved. I'm certain many will ask hundreds of questions right off the back but bare with me and I assure you all will be answered as we progress.

I am so so excited to bring this to you guys and can't wait to REDEFINE the Aftermarket again!!

Hey Vincent, I will be watching this with great anticipation!! A few questions:

What is the development timeline on this?

How will it be priced rel. to the W1?

Just to confirm, you guys feel this type of upgrade is safe on a stock block?

Hopefully the W2 will make comparable power on normal pump gas to the W1 running ethanol.
Hopefully. Ethanol is just not an option for many people so saving on a flex fuel kit and putting that to the W2 sounds appealing

Barely any stations with ethanol here in Canada, so this could be a more appealing option for those of us restricted to pump gas.. W1 leaves a little to be desired without running ethanol

Is the W2 going to replace the W1?
Will the W1 have a reason to stay on the market after the W2 release?

I assume being cheaper will still make the W1 an appealing option for some. As they did say itll cost more.

The only way I could see the W1 still selling is if the price went down 3-4 hundred dollars after release. Then I could see the W2 being just shy of $2k. Unless the price is a drastic difference between the two, people may as well just cough up the extra $. If people are willing to spend $1,600 on a turbo, I can’t imagine them not just taking the extra step. Take me for example, I was thinking of upgrading to the W1 this year. But now there is an even better version in the works? That plans to produce the power of W1 with flex and then some, but on pump gas? Damn! I might as well sit back and see how this goes before pulling the trigger. I’ll have to put my patience pants on though. I could see this taking until well into 2021 before release. Maybe in time for the holidays.

We intend to keep the W1, it is not going anywhere.

Now that's what we like to hear.. better start saving for a clutch
Well if you’re going to upgrade your clutch you’ll want a twin disc. However I can attest the stock clutch and LSD are much more durable than most think. Clutches generally fail more from abuse or improper driving habits. The stock clutch is every bit as reliable as the “upgrades” out there. For example the Clutchmasters 400 is only rated at 480WTQ. Stay stock unless you are going beyond the 500 mark.
