Any news on the Ball-Bearing options for the engine builders out there? 300 RPM quicker spool sounds awfully nice!
In application, it's closer to 200rpm. The biggest gain is in durability. A BB version is much more tolerant to punishing conditions like repeated hard acceleration and race-like environments. Basically stronger and more reliable.

I really think you guys should look into a fuel system upgrade as your next project once you get all caught up.

Also, does that mean that the journal bearing W2 is good for intermittent pulls and light racing? Or is it just as good but won’t hold up as long as the ball bearing version?

I agree, I just know that is no easy task. Will takes lots of R&D and capital to get done correctly.

Yes it is, you can still have lots of fun with it.

I am in the process of swapping in a fully built L15B7, so yeah I will have an Si head eventually. Haven't really looked into adding the fuel system upgrade yet with only a W1.

Okay recently I’ve noticed a sound when accelerating and decelerating that sounds like a siren. Might be coming from turbo but I’m not sure if it’s coming from the engine bay or the exhaust. It’s most noticeable when decelerating in 2nd and 3rd gear. Could this be normal operation sounds or signs of a problem or premature damage?

Excited to share that the next round of W2 units will open up for order end of December. Along with the W2-BB version.
