So, the biggest issue I have with my TYP is that I love the colour and can't see enough of it from inside!! Thought I could tastefully add some matching yellow somewhere and decided on the shift pattern. The '2' and '5' need a bit extra still as hiding red with yellow takes many coats, but pretty happy with how she's turning out!

I used Testors Fluorescent Yellow enamel, pic doesn't do it justice but it's VERY close to the exterior colour.

I test drove one yesterday, my first time ever in an Si and I fell in LOVE! As you can see, I have the Energy Green (EXL) but it doesn't compare to the Si. I still get compliments on it but I'm wondering, what are people's reactions to the TYP???

I have had the car for a couple weeks now. And almost every drive I've got a positive reaction, I've been approached in parking lots by people of all ages, from kids and their parents saying they like the color to seniors and many in between. I talked with a veteran in a Canadian tire parking lot for a good 20 minutes recently he told me about a yellow vette. he had beck in the day.
I'm extremely happy with the color and the reaction its had.
My last(MSM) felt unsafe as people would not see it and almost drive into it daily! Not anymore!
Everyone sees this car!

Edit. This is today after painting side markers with VHT nightshades.
Edit edit. I took the markers off to paint!

I hope you love it as much as I do! It's the easiest car to find in a parking lot, I used to get cut off nearly every drive too many times to count. Not a problem now!

Just picked up my TYP Si. Definitely get a lot of looks. The 70 yo security guard in my neighborhood was flipping out over the color. It's funny to see the reactions. I definitely want to wrap the roof in black and a few other things to start out with.

I took mine out and sprayed with vht night shades after a few wet sanding and letting dry out completely.

Still functions at night and I got a very smooth coat it was a close call though. If you like I can post a close up when the sun is up fully.

Like I reported earlier, I test drove the TYP Si Coupe Saturday at my Dealership - broke my heart and broke The Deal...........keeping my 2018 HB Sport Manual with a Factory MUGEN Tune that came with the car when I bought it in Jan 2018..........if Honda has to tune this Rev Issue in to the Manual cars, then they should at least "alert" long-time Manual Users about it, even if they had to do it for CAFE Regs. My 2016 Veloster R-Spec 1.6T had NONE. My 2018 HB Sport Manual has NONE.........

Factory mugen tune? Sounds to me like you bought a car that already had ktuner/hondata and the dealer BSed you into believing that. The dead giveaway is that your car has no factory rev hang, like you claim, yet these cars all have identical rev hang. A ktuner/hondata has the option to completely remove the rev hang and the only thing slowing down the rpm dropping is the heavy factory dual mass flywheel.
