So for folks who ran both, W1 vs RV6? I'm about ready to get a turbo and officially go FBO. Leaning W1.
W1 does have its issues and the biggest one is after a while the turbine housing cracks 27won only offers a 1 year warranty and the crack always happens between the wastegate and turbine so be aware of that I have attached pics of my W1 after 8 months of use

306/266 on e35 @32psi
It doesn't make sense to me how low those numbers are.

Maybe that dyno just reads low? But then again you also said it felt slower as well.

On Drobs dynapack, all these turbos make similar power with the stock fuel system.

I did a few pulls on a dynojet before with high ambient temps that day and the highest it read was 288whp on 93 at 25psi(w/ gtx2860). Drobs dynapack would read 290-305 for these turbos on 93. On E30 at 27-28psi there's usually a 30-40whp gain seen. So I figured it was spot on since they were close to what his dynapack read.

The RV6 is a bit bigger than the W1 right? Even being on a dynojet, I just can't understand how it read so low at 32psi.

It looks like I'll be installing my clutch this weekend, so I'm going to try to get to a Dyno the next weekend before I install the turbo to get baseline numbers. Then I'll go back after turbo is installed. That is my plan as of now but also depends if my local shop can get my scheduled on the Dyno and how much it is going to cost. The post Dyno will depend on when I get my turbo back from jethot and then when I can get garage time at my brothers shop to install. After I do the etune I'll take it back to Dyno.

Working with RV6 to see what’s up. I had the engine looked over to make sure it broke in well and is running good. Motor got the all clear so not sure where we should go from here I wanna give RV6 a chance to see if we can squeeze more out of it

That's disappointing :( I have no flex fuel so going too big on a drop-in turbo doesn't make sense to me.

@RV6 When this turbo hits the market, would there be plans to do a combo deal with the downpipe & frontpipe? I've been impressed with your products on some Acuras in the past, so really hoping to get all 3 of these parts for the Si!
We do not plan on doing any combos. However you can always PM me for a deal.

Before I was gapping stage 2 type R’s now they pull me in 4th so this setup is slower, if we can get the turbo to light off sooner like 3200-3500 then it would probably be faster but the turbo doesn’t light off until 4500 sooo....
I don't think the point of RV6 turbo is to spool like the W1, but rather to deliver more top-end, especially when you are not fuel-limited.
According to DRob the R365 is about 300RPM more laggy VS the W1. However the W1s literally have to spin their guts out in order to max out the OE fuel system. With bigger wheels the R365 does not have to spin as fast to fully utilize the OE fuel system. This makes for a more reliable turbo. It also leaves a bit of head room for those that want to run meth.

Something is wrong with your tune if it’s not boosting until 4500. Mine is blasting at 3200.

This is happening from improper tuning. One thing Eman always had an issue with Hondata is that their base tunes run you lean which is true. This lean running is causing the excessive heat which is causing that cracking.

Sorry for being ghost fellas. I’ve received my fp/dp from @RV6 thank you Rich! I’m waiting on the delivery of my new remark exhaust and then have everything installed and finally get dyno measured.
I just got over covid 19 and am currently going through respiratory rehab due to the damage from it. So I’m not working and money is tight. But once everything comes back together I’ll be more active again.
Best of luck to you guys.
