Hi guys,

First off, huge shout out to @dominican for making a DIY for the universal RallyArmor mudflaps for the Type R.

I wanted to make a separate thread regarding mudflaps as a handful of Type R owners are trying to find alternatives for some kind of mudflaps / guards.

I am finally able to tell you guys that RallyArmor have been using my car to test fit custom mudflaps for the Type R.

They are nearing completion of their design and fitment phase, in other words they are nearing full release of this product soon.

These mudflaps requires no drilling into the car whatsoever. The rear has a bracket that leverages pre-existing holes from the factory. The front does not utilize a bracket but it will bolt right up to the stock mount points without drilling.

The mudflaps are super flexible and I don't have to worry about being too low or going over speed bumps. Aesthetically, I love the look it adds to the car as it adds some wideness but at the same time being very subtle.

In short if you guys are considering any mudflaps / guards that requires drilling, hold off. These will be release very soon!

I had as set or UR Rallyarmor mudflaps on my STI back in 2008-2010. They worked wonders for paint protection. I'll be picking up a set of these when they are available. I just hope they fit better now than they did back then. The back ones weren't the same length when they were manufactured so as long as the QC is good, I'll be buying these.

I doubt it, they flex at speed. I tracked my STI at Sebring International Raceway both with and without them and didn't notice a difference.

I have never been a fan of the RA flaps on anything but a Subie but want some protection from chips for the R.

Hoping these turn out ok and are sold in front pair or a set. Would also love black fasteners for a cleaner look..

I guess it would be around $150 a set? Not cheap but mudflaps are sorely needed for CTRs . . . .

Omfg take my money! I had sent an Inquiry email to RA about 6 weeks ago and they said they were currently working on it and it shouldn't be much longer. Those look wicked and I will definitely be getting a set the second they come out. Will there be a pre order or anything?
