Did someone say topless?

Looks like I'm not the only one who's not a fan of the ginormous black plastic plates, i.e., phony air vents. Honda really over did it with the latest Civic version.Wait, someone snuck in and attached a large kayak paddle to the front and back. Should have removed that before the show.
Not sure how his math adds up. I see it as this:Just to give some perspective, this hatchback will be 1.2" shorter than the couple.

....So essentially, the Civic Touring '16 is still the longest!2016 Civic sedan: 182.3 inches
....Don't like it as much as the Civic Touring '16 models!
I can agree with a good bit of what you're saying. I'm hoping the real version loses the look of the grills for the sake of adding more grills and gets functional.Really don't like the hatch design much. I'm let down because I wanted a hatch and I had high hopes for this Civic version. Since a lot of what should normally be "hatch volume" is destroyed by the sloping roof line, I'm not really even sure why they bothered making this variant. They tried for "edgy" with some elements and they look amateurish. The good news is this is making me feel better about my decision to jump on the sedan The sedan has a more cohesive overall design IMO.
Couldn't agree more about the huge phony vents. What on earth are Honda designers thinking?2) I don't care for the fake vents in the front and rear bumper covers, actually they're not only fake but huge.
I passed on the Focus RS (was 2nd on the list at my local dealership), so I hope the Type R is devoid of fake vents or any other visual gimmick. Considering it's a Type R I can live with the unusual fender and door creases but please no fake, glued on, crap. Enough already.
I remember people making the same complaint about the 99-00 civic si with its fake vents in the front bumper...haha it just comes back around.Couldn't agree more about the huge phony vents. What on earth are Honda designers thinking?
Maybe if we complain here enough they'll get rid of them on the final product. Or make them REAL vents, even if they aren't actually functional. At least they wouldn't look so cheap and fake.
