Your car looks great. The cool thing about this pic is your Si almost looks like a die cast model or matchbox car.
Thanks, much appreciated.

The look is due to the photo being taken at f/1.2

That's a BIG aperture setting for daylight ... but it DOES produce some nice effects on things beyond the focal point ... Great pic!

Been a while since I posted ITT so here’s an update... Got my car re-tinted (went from 35% to 15% and added a windshield strip) and went a little carbon fiber crazy. Thinking of doing the mirrors CF at some point but first I’m going to get some new wheels for the ride.

Anyways, pix!

Stumbled upon this thread, so here are a few shots I have after I installed some new headlights :p Neat thread, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one for everyone's builds!

I'm on Android (OnePlus) and I really like the app Snapseed if you have access to that on iPhone. It's a pretty functional, easy to use, and free editing app from Google. I used to use it way more with my previous phone, but my new one doesn't require as much post processing anymore. I still use it if my phone's built in editing doesn't suffice.

I like to use the app to mess with settings (namely contrast, highlights and shadows, saturation and clarity [ambiance in this app], and sometimes the tonal curve) to see what colors and details I can pull out of a photo. If I notice there's limitations, and the photo starts to get too gross after a lot of editing, then it's time to try and adjust the settings in whatever camera you can use (if possible) to try and get a better photo to start editing from.

I made a small bit of edits with Snapseed on your photo if you didn't mind. Can give you an idea of what Snapseed can provide! Admittedly, was a little tough bringing out to colors of the car without blowing up the lighter colors and details, but other apps/Lightroom or Photoshop could make it a little easier than just a mobile app 😅

Strictly for aesthetics 😅 It felt incomplete to just have the fronts, despite knowing the rears won't be functional and also make cleaning more difficult lol

Was planning to get a white Sport hatch or Si sedan, but this thread might make me go with aegean blue again. :( 13 years straight of blue cars, I really need to break the habit!
I have that issue too. Behind my blue Civic is my blue truck towing my blue trailer. I used to have a blue street bike too

Spent the day giving Ramona her first real bath. Giving the Last Coat products a run. Got 2 coats of the Black Ice on. Gonna give it the 7 day cure it calls for before the next wash and I'm going to put the Last Coat and AMP products on next. The paint came out super smooth and slick. I hope I'm going to be as pleased with its protective properties as I am with the way the paint looks.
