Mine just slightly did at 1100k too. It was a quick tap to stop from parking lot speeds but never heard of it before that.I just heard my brakes squeal for the first time around 600 miles. I think it still exists for 2020?

It's possible to mitigate a lot of the brake squeal by being a little harder on the brakes. With the stock brakes I found that if I apply the brakes and put at least 150-200 PSI through the lines, then I'll almost never hear the brakes squeal. The only exception to this is city driving. Though the 2020 does use a different material so it may squeal worse (or better) than the 2017-2019.Any brembo pad squeal. I've owned 3 STis..4 evos and gtr..everyone would when cold pads
Was reading through the manual before, says hearing some squealing is totally normal.I just heard my brakes squeal for the first time around 600 miles. I think it still exists for 2020?
Almost exactly the same scenario although the brakes are already warmed from traveling about 30 miles.Mine just slightly did at 1100k too. It was a quick tap to stop from parking lot speeds but never heard of it before that.
Yes I believe that's the case with performance brakes. Just putting it out here because I believe someone was asking for brake squealing. Was reading through the manual before, says hearing some squealing is totally normal.
That was probably me asking. I was just curious if Honda did anything to try to help it. But you're absolutely right, it's normal with more performance oriented brakes if they don't get enough heat in them.Yes I believe that's the case with performance brakes. 800 miles haven't heard them squel maybe you need to warm up before hard braking. I know it happens in Audi RS models when the brakes are cold.I just heard my brakes squeal for the first time around 600 miles. I think it still exists for 2020?
That's wild mate, trading in your '19 for '20!? Curious what your all-in cost was to upgrade?traded in my '19 RR over the weekend.
I know it sounds crazy but I was waiting for the facelift seen on the Si's last year for the R's but Honda took so long to announce it that I pulled the trigger on a '19 after reading on here for a while that there was speculation that '19 was going to be the last production year. But sure enough a month after I bought it, Honda announced the facelift version of the R. Yes I could've got the inserts and bought the rear bumper but the Honda sensing and suspension upgrades amongst a few other things made it worth it to me. Also red on this car was starting to be 'too much' for me. SGP blends in nicely without being too cookie cutter of a color. That's wild mate, trading in your '19 for '20!? 32k on trade in, 39.9k for new? $8k + tax seems steep for everything you get in the 2020 vs 2019
Heck no, YOLO! I love BB and sometimes ponder at a trade in myself. I don't think I'll ever do it unless I somehow get a chance at a 2021 LE CTR. That in itself is a pipe dream because I can only imagine what the markup will be on that sucker.I know it sounds crazy
The LE will be epic - my dealer told me they are going to auction there's on eBay or Bring A Trailer ha. Those numbers will be wild.Heck no, YOLO! I love BB and sometimes ponder at a trade in myself.
