Honda has officially announced that the 2017 Civic Hatchback will be making its official public debut at the Paris Auto Show next month. Being an European show, it will be the European market version that is shown, which basically only differs from the North American version by not having certain reflectors. The hatchback to be displayed will likely be in red, as the teaser image below indicates.
The 5 door hatchback Civic will arrive in North American dealerships this Fall and will go on sale in Europe starting early 2017. In North America, the Civic hatchback will come with a 1.5L turbo engine with 174 hp / 162 lb-ft torque. Sport and Sport Touring models will feature uprated 180 hp / 162 lb-ft of torque.
In addition to the hatchback, Honda will also be bringing the Civic sedan to the Paris show. And there are even some rumors that a Civic Type R concept closely resembling the production model may make a surprise appearance.
