What is the consensus on power an Si can push reliably? For example I have a 2015 tuned wrx and most people agree the rods cannot take more than 350tq.
It depends on where the torque is made. Generally(give or take) on a dyno jet:
FBO 93 : 250whp 300tq
Fbo + e40: 280whp 330tq
27won turbo fbo : 295whp 295 tq
27won e40: 330whp 330tq

Big turbo kits can put you up to 400whp and 360ish torque I think could be lower but it’s way farther in the rpm range compared to our stock turbos. Eman did a dyno run at 460 or some other crazy number with meth plus big turbo but he didn’t keep it that hard of a tune on the street so I doubt he thought it’d be reliable. Numbers are just numbers tho and don’t directly equal how fast the car is.

“Custom” catless downpipe, MAPerformance intake, PRL Intercooler , 93 octane javi tuned 205 hp 255 tq

A lot lower numbers than I expected but he said it was because of the mustang dyno, the guys at the shop call it the heartbreaker dyno and told me it reads about 15% lower than most dyno jets. Javi tuned also recently tuned another si downpipe and cold air only and it made 250/300 but on a dyno jet
I wouldn't worry about numbers. I made 252whp in a '15 wrx stage 2ish (no intercooler) on my tuners old software for his dyno. He used a stock STi to calibrate and it only made 205whp. On the new software my car made 295whp. The only thing that changed was the software on the dyno, and he calibrated it differently.

Question, how did you guys manage to dyno the car without going into Limp mode? i did the TCS/VSA light blinking step and the car still goes into Limp mode with all lights on the dash.

I believe the problem is running in sport mode, my tuner made it a dual tune after the whole process. Other than that he disabled something from in the wheel well

You remove the abs/vsa one and it’ll let you dyno in sport with no issues? I’m going to dyno mine but just to see where I’m at so I don’t want to do that whole double tune thing.

I could do one pull doing the pedal dance in sport mode then got kicked out. To do multiple pulls i had to remove the abs fuse. I dont use a dual boost tune so i just left the torque the same for both modes.

How does this effect street performance? Sometimes when I drift big and go wot in 2nd the vsa triggers and I go into limp mode on the street.
