Disclaimer: Original dealings was regarding a 2019 Civic Sport, but turned into an Si.

John Budree
Hendrick Honda
Pompano Beach, FL

John was cool at the start, not overly pushy but definitely a bit arrogant. Whatever.
Civic sport deal fell through because bank wouldn't pick up the loan on a cheap car with as much negative equity as I had in previous car.
John stops responding to my texts and calls to answer some questions. Spoke to GM and Finance Manager, both told me I needed an excessive amount of money down and they could only do the deal on the coupe, not the sedan (Si)...
Turns out, the bank WOULD pick up the loan (and more favorably for me, might I add) for the sedan Si. Hendrick Honda wanted me to put $3200 down and wouldn't budge from $25k on the Si coupe.
Went to Delray Honda, dealt with Hung (insert jokes here, but the guy is an awesome dude) and got in and out with what I wanted at a steal.

Avoid Hendrick Honda, aside from being complete douche canoes, nobody knows what the person next to them is doing. Literally had 4 different people call me from the same dealership for the same reasons as if they were my first/ only contact.

GM = Al (Alfred)
FM = Peter

***Side note: stopped by the dealership after getting the Si from Delray Honda and John (salesman) told me that Pete and Al told him not to get involved with me any further (sure buddy...sure.) I told him to let them know that they royally f'ed up and I got an Si from Delray.*** <-- Petty? Sure. Worth it? Absolutely.

Someone tell me I’m not crazy here:

Been considering leasing a 2019 Civic Si Sedan for a few weeks now. Sent my best quote to a local dealer via the internet sales consultant.

She brought it to her manager today who claimed he couldn’t beat the deal (I’m fine with that) and they typically only sell Civic Si’s at retail and by appointment (really?).

I politely told them the only selling at retail (above) is the Type R and to stop calling me if they only sell at retail

I leased an Si Coupe last month. I got them to take about 12% off MSRP after shopping about 6 dealers. There was also a Honda lease incentive which is like "Dealer Cash" that no one will ever tell you about.

Edmunds forums you can get money factor, residual and incentives. There’s a $600 factory to dealer right now, the quote I asked them to beat was 23k, so really $23,600 which the quoted online price at most dealerships LOL. Their loss I’m hoping to have mine leased and home by end of next week.

Knew I wasn’t crazy, 5 days after this post leased a 2019 Si Sedan at a sale price of 22.5k, same dealership group but different location, in and out in 1.5 hours.

Nope! And they will never get it. They could offer me a CTR for $25k and I'd still tell them to kick rocks.
I feel you on this. I've come across 2 dealerships that were total smug scum. I wouldn't buy a used rubber from them. I'll give my hard earned cash to another dealer F them choke on a big one JOs :D We're the consumers. Next time I'll rip their little chit hole in a public forum like this.

don't worry so much about cash offers discounts rebates all that dealer money, go the last day of the month three or four hours before they close and make a crazy deal,if they need to hit their numbers or quotes they might take $5,000 off any car, other than type R

This all reminds me when the s550 mustang “2015” came out, ford dealers are well known for charging over msrp. I went down to my local dealer to check a yellow GT performance pack out, they wanted 10k over msrp for a fucking GT . 3 weeks later they where everywhere, you couldn’t move without seeing some s550 on a lot

LMAO @ a car salesperson being called a "guest experience specialist". That's like calling a waitress a "field nourishment consultant".

Is there a thread or any data on what was actually paid for a 2020 Si? I'm trading in my 2017 EX-T on Friday and am looking to make sure that I at least get a decent deal. I'm estimating that the trade difference will be ~$9000.
