Who bought a OEM blue Type R car cover for storage? Is it worth the money? I had a OEM cover for my s2000 and loved it, just wanted to know if the quality was similar. Thanks guys! Part # 08P34-TGH-100A

As a experienced car detailer, these things will scratch up the bottom of your car and will generally do more harm than good. The wind blowing them all over and if there's any dirt on the vehicle, it could create scratch marks on the vehicle.

Just my two cents! Do whatever you wanna do!

agreed they scratch more than they help

i think it’s a crazy amount of money but for hardcore storage, you want something like a carcapsule instead

I should of clarified.. I am garage storing my car so it will be only used for a dust cover. I would never cover a car stored outdoors.

The quality of the cover you pictured (OEM indoor “dust cover”) is excellent. I too store my R covered with it inside a garage. I think you’ll be happy with it. I know I am.

Oh awesome!Thank you so much for clearing that up, was worried it would be bad quality. Now I am even more excited to receive it lol.

You’re very welcome. I am very happy with it. It is extremely soft and does a great job doing just what it’s made for. I’m still amazed at how dirty a car’s surface can get even tucked away in a garage. Hope you enjoy it.

Have you washed yours yet? Wondering if the blue dye will run.

Ah, now that is one thing I have yet to do. The color is quite rich, so I would suspect some bleeding, but I can’t be sure as I have yet to do so. Sorry I can’t help with that.

Holly, I also have a blue oem car cover. I only use while I store the car in the garage during the winter. I always was the car first before putting it on. It has a soft white underlining and it really helps keep the dust off during long term storage. I have not tried to wash it as it has only been on the car a few times so far. Very happy with the quality, fit, and look. It also has small tabs along the lower sides that you can clip onto the bottom of the lower back trim/skirt to keep it down if you want but it stays on fine even without using those.

Received my dust cover yesterday, lucked out and found a used one for cheap. I must say it's not quite as thick or heavy compared to my S2000 cover but the quality is good and the inside material is nice and soft, I think it may be some kind of fleece. Storage for EvilR soon :(
