I noticed the other day inside edge wear on both of my front tires. Haven’t checked the rears but I’ve never seen this much wear so close to the edge. I maintain tire pressure meticulously. Any one else seen this? Tires at 17,000 miles.
BTW I do rotate regularly

Had a similar issue with tires on my Golf R a few years ago. After a while they start making some horrendous noises.

It almost looks as if they're rubbing on something in the turn radius / suspension, but I don't see or feel any contact.

Yeah its camber. Make sure your tire pressures are good, also if you drive like a maniac like me, tires heat up = air expands = higher tire pressure = more tire wear. Besides traction this is why you air down when racing on a track. Your issue is camber but just an fyi for the future.

Problem is a bad TOE alignment(nothing else is adjustable) during production. Most likely toe is way off.

Get an alignment asap after new tires.

I recommend:
Front ..... 0 toe each side
Rear ...... .05 to .07 toe each side

Yeah I religiously adjust the tire pressure to the door sticker when the tire is cold. I suppose that could contribute to higher pressures when the tires get hot, but my 370Z and all my other cars I've always set the pressure cold and none of them wore this way. I'm a pretty sedate driver this car is my daily so I baby it.

Yeah those assholes just move cars and sell up-charges. I have a 7am spot Monday with a highly recommended alignment only shop to set the alignment for what’s left of the rears which weren’t worn on edges, which I moved to the front. I figure that I can verify the alignment with the old tires before I put new ones on there

Well 77.00 later the alignment guys confirmed Toe was off. The guy that did the work drove the car around and he really liked it.
We'll see how things go with the two tires on the front after the alignment.

Lol now my steering wheel is about an 1/8 of an inch off to go straight down the road. Sigh. Not going back there. Sent an email and they ignored it. They are kind of country/redneck mostly do hot rods and large trucks. THought I'd give them a chance. Oh well. It could be correct but when I hold the wheel parallel/straight it goes toward the ditch.

on my fun cars i would normally go to a race shop, because they had modified suspensions. big chain places are just like dealers in my experience, yes you can get lucky sometimes, but i digress.
