There's supposedly a recall on the condenser. My ac stop working and I asked a buddy at Honda and told me there's a recall for it.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s a separate issue from the intermittent one I have. When the condenser goes, it doesn’t work at all as opposed to restarting the car and it working immediately.

I know our cars have a variable compressor that is capable of running at partial duty.

Maybe the software is tripping up and running at 0% duty?

Interesting point! I’ll keep that in mind when dealing with Honda. Local dealership doesn’t do anything if it “works” when you’re there. It certainly seems electrical in nature, whether it’s a software issue is a good thought.
