Does this Civic have variable ignition timing so when I use 89 Octane or 91 I will recieve a performance improvement? (I fell like 89 does when I use it)

Maybe I’m old fashioned but I’ve always heard to use a higher octane in a turbo charged car
It seems I get better mileage to a saw this when I had my 2014 Elantra coupe got 28 mpg with 87 switch to
93 got 31mpg on my civic ext I use 93 since I own it I also live on the west coast of Florida were it flat

If you're untuned, run what Honda tells you to run. It'll save you money and anyone saying running higher octane than the manufacturer recommends on a stock tune is lying whether advertently or inadvertently. The butt dyno is highly susceptible to finding value in what you pay extra for.
