Switched over to LED headlights. Based on several night drives I’ve observed some loss of throw on the low beams compared to my stock halogens. Nothing major enough to effect my level of confidence night driving however. I really do enjoy the look of them, especially when using the turn signals. The install was very simple and this probably now takes the cake for being my favorite mod that I’ve completed myself. Next step will be getting both headlights tinted (just using clear tint for protection) then I’ll be switching out the fake vents up front sometime next week.

Being furloughed during quarantine has provided me with lots of free time to focus on whatever I want. Thankfully I’ve been able to continue on some work with my Civic. Since my last post I’ve done the following;
-Removed cloth center console and arm rests
-Installed leather center console and arm rests
-Installed window switch covers

Hi oberstja,
Sorry to hear of your furlough. Type R trim.

Speaking of trim, what is the bold red border inside steering wheel? I went thinner, tough to install on my R as gap is zero in turn edges, both same there. Was it hard to adhere/glue/get to stay?

I did side switch panels too and many more cosmetic changes, see Showcase if you want sensory overload.

Here’s any idea for anyone trying for the R look but aren’t Starting with an OEM CTR. Don’t stop at just R stock. Look like a customized R, stepping it up a notch, more legit!

Just finished looking at your showcase! Beautiful R. That trim piece wasn’t hard to install, it’s adheres better and stays in place longer if you heat the glue up right before you put it on and have also cleaned the area prior to install. Since I’ve put it on I haven’t had to worry about it moving. Most of my interior trim I’ve bought off thenice on Amazon.

Thanks, yours looks sharp, fooled me until I read description. Good job matching badge to wheels.
I like the boldness of how you’ve done the steering wheel, glad trim is staying put. Mine’s garaged now after few months outside as FL sun is bad on paint & plastics, routine defense is a PITA.
Keep up the good work!

Not much new to report at this time. Since quarantine ended I started working for a Honda dealership (wanted that parts discount) but it hasn't been a great fit. Had lots of the service guys ask me questions about my Civic though which I was happy to answer for them. Will be switching over to a VW dealership next month. Because I will be working in a large city with limited parking, I am gonna look at adding on body side molding soon to hopefully minimize door dings. Washington is starting to get some great weather now so I've been enjoying that in the mean time.
