@360glitch has there been any progress towards possibly setting a minimum post contribution and/or time spent on the forums before new members can PM and sell stuff on the site?

I know at the end of the day it’s up to people to be smart and vigilant, but I feel like 90% of these scammers would go away with something like that implemented, since majority of them have 0 posts and brand new accounts.

Well, the latest angle has been to hack long existing accounts and use them to sell. These accounts typically have been in place for years and have thousands of posts.

While I support a minimum post requirement, it unfortunately would not stop these types of threats.

Didn’t know they were hacking long standing accounts, that’s good to know.

I guess then the other bit of advice would be to make sure you don’t have an easy password people! Be smart.

I dont even know my own passwords these days. It's all in a vault.

Also, CivicX supports 2 Factor Authentication. It is worth using. It's a shame that we have to worry about that here, yet here we are.
