Before I bought the Ktuner I went through the manual and saw that it had a setting for the VTEC engagement point. The base calibration says VTEC is lowered to 5300 so it can obviously be changed but I don't see anywhere to configure it in the app. Is it not an option for the 2.0 NA?

Here is the setting in the manual:

If you have the latest software version, that vtec point is the preset for the tune. You’re not going to be able to change it to 3000 or something. It’s already built in.

they spend time and money developing a tune that is both safe and effective. Giving people control of that with little to no knowledge of how to tune is a recipe for disaster. There are many variables that determine effectiveness of how a car runs. Not just getting it to make the most power immediately at lower rpms.

We can only wait and see ...
it can be done because they changed vtec from 6100rpm to 5600rpm and currently 5300rpm ..
I heard somewhere there's a mechanical limit because of the size of the cam lobes... I might be wrong though.

Toyota came out with a 2.0 i4 corolla that pushes 169hp (11hp over our own) by increasing the compression ratio to 13....

We may in the future.
Can someone confirm if vtec is now adjustable to any rpm range?
Also, is vtc also adjustable for both cams?

The reason I ask is because once you find v2v clearance considering intake and exhaust vtc with and without vtec, then p2v clearance can be found as well and the whole map can be fine tuned based on those limits and extract as much hp from the engine
