Has anyone encountered this issue?
My boost target is at 30 psi and my car is struggling to maintain 28-29 psi.

As for my mods, you can check my garage profile.

You cant hit 30 with OEM sensors. Map sensor only allows 28 with OEM sensors.

I dunno bruh. Could be the sensors still. Jsut because they say 30 doesn’t mean they will. It’s at the limit of the ewg. When your right at the limit it’s hard to be accurate.

So if the weather is cooler and you can make the same power with 28psi as you can 30 on a hotter day, it will usually still hit 30 normally since that’s your target? Kinda like the stock tune will hit 18 for me when it’s hotter but when it’s a cool night or winter it will only hit 14-15psi and still feels like it pulls just as hard if not harder?

The electronig WG will limit at 32 PSI, people do pneumatic WG like the PRL V1 when they want to go above 32 PSI

your internals won't last too long stay where you are until engine is built is a better idea.
i have no issues to hit 30 psi or more even with ewg but of course up to certain limits & you may wanna speak to yr tuner.

My tuner knows about my situation. I just wanted to hear what could be causing this so i can solve the problem. I may have an idea and im going to try it out.

if your tuner "knows" then you shouldn't be having this problem & not to tune it over "safe" limits.

just my 2 cents worth.

I trust my tuner 100%. I just want to know what could be possible causes for the car to have struggle in holding the psi. My boost target is set at 30 psi. My tuner said its possible that my wastegate isnt fully closing.

I will remove my downpipe and look at the wastegate to see if it closed properly.

The tuner knows...

1. the customer knows the safe limits of the L15 and he chose to push it because he has the turbo and fuel flow to support it, period end of story.
2. the tuner knows there's an obvious mechanical issue within how the wastegate operate. I'd like to see you even try to "tune" a mechanical issue see where that gets you.
3. if you think you know more than Derek Robinson as a tuner just say so
