So I was out looking at how my car looks with all the night driving with the bugs accumulated and couldn't help but notice the broken fog light and also how recessed it seems to be. I had a bumper replaced nearly a year ago (someone backed into my car) and I possibly never noticed it until now? Anyways is it normal placement or what do you guys think is going on? Thank you

Not normal. You shouldn’t see any body color under the fog light assembly if it’s installed properly.

As if a broken light is bad enough, I'll have to also find out why they're pushed so far back, thanks for the affirmation.

You can see top down (while removing the vents for 2020 install). And this other one. The lights go pretty much right up against the vent. There is no spacing. It’s snug fitment.

Ok, thanks for the pictures showing that, something is definitely wrong!! I'll try to remember to update this thread when I find out what's going on and maybe even leave a bad review, pictures and all, if the auto body shop doesn't want to address it. Thanks for posting those!

You said why they're pushed back, are they both like that, or just the broken one?

They're both like that, they don't feel loose or anything either.
Wow, ok, I thought maybe the one was pushed back from impact when it got broke, but as someone said, they aren't supposed to be like that.
I'm not sure but I wonder if the mounting points on the lights are staggered and they put them in upside down or something. Either that or the bumper is cut wrong at the opening. Other than that, I have no clue.

Since they are both that way; I'm wondering if it isn't some kind of vandalism. Some hater just decided to kick in your fogs just to be a dickhole.

Just thinking out loud. Whatever the case; sorry that heppened.

Thought about that also, but I probably won't really know more until sometime later in the week.... also having AC issues where things don't very cold. Might try to get both these issues addressed.

Finally got around to checking things out and the lights were mounted on the back side where I placed the red circles and are supposed to be where the green is. I think it's just paint that blocks the holes and I just screw through it. Just figured I'd update in what the cause was.
