My wife knitted me a little bonnet that I place over the shift knob when it gets too hot. Once the car cools down I take it off.

I bought it from a person that has a store on eBay, but I sent him the part number and we did the transaction privately. I have bought many parts from him, and never once had a problem either that was via eBay, or privately. Fast shipping, and very carefully packed.

I have been very busy with work, and I have not had a chance to install it yet. I will try to get to it this weekend, and if I do I will let you know asap. It does feel really good in the hand, but that is without being installed.....

OE Type R: 139.17g
Honda Access 08U92-TEA-010 (as above): 162.25g
Acuity ESCO: 169.70g

Honda black collar: 39.70g (lines up smoothly with any of the above knobs)
Acuity lock nut: 6.42g

Ok. Been driving it yesterday with the new shift knob and I must say I love it much more than the stock oem aluminum ball knob.

The new red knob is a tad taller and I personally feel like the weighted shifts are much smoother (hard to imagine it being smoother than stock, I know). But just my opinion. Like it much better than stock.

come on guys, it does get warm but it aint so hot you can't shift, and eventually it does cool down. I live on the Texas coast, it gets hot here too.

This summer i had sun cover and still knob literally burned the crap out of me . I had to shift with tshirt.. yes it does get hot enough..
