So I just noticed today that when I'm doing spirited driving in 1st/2nd/3rd gear, there's a weird noise as I full press the clutch to change gears. Sounds like a whirring sound.

You can hear it when I go from 2nd to 3rd here

Here I pulled over to recreate the sound and it did it but not as pronounced. It did the whirring but with a slight hiccup in between

No engine/exhaust mods and 2500 miles on odometer.

One solution is to get a radical exhaust mod, so your exhaust is significantly louder and more impressive, and then you won't hear those less significant sound from the engine & the gearbox :drive:

Nice lane changes by the way !!!

I was able to find the 6 page thread about this issue. Guess I'm not alone and there's no solution to the problem.

I plan to get an exhaust but the one I want (Spoon) is so mild and it can't hide the clutch sound since I won't be applying throttle when changing gears.

Is it just sound for you? I can feel vibration in the clutch pedal too.

I feel the vibration. Honda dealer shop foreman today said its normal...stuff with the tranny/motor/Rev match.

Who knows... Either way he heard it and I've got it documented in case something breaks but others have had it 15k+ miles.

Oh I guess turn off revmatch and see if it is still there. I didn't even bother taking it to the shop, since no one seems to have figured it out.

Finally had a chance to test it, but clutch pedal still buzzed with revmatch off.

That's exactly it.
Dealership shop foreman says it's normal.. Something about the Rev match and matching up to the engine speed and blah blah.
Pretty much there's no fix but it isn't doing harm. I'm just glad mines documented and they heard the sound so in the future I'm covered.

Yeah well my shop foreman told me it was the BOV. I guess he thinks im a complete moron. I dont think its either of those things because it occurs only on upshifts.

I posted the fix in one of the threads. I'll have to search for the post and link it.
