Ya a Nismo version under $50k would be dope!

I'm digging the manual hand brake. The electric e-brake is one of my biggest gripes with the Si.

It would be a great drift missal if someone opts for the S package, don't need all that useless technology. I hate it on my 20 Si.

I'm predicting the Nismo version should be around 50-60k

I'd like to see how it compares against the B58 Supra and M440i. If they're close in performance, final price will be the deciding factor.

Well the Supra is priced like a BMW LOLL. The 3.0L has a starting price of $52K MSRP before options! Even the 2.0L starts at nearly $45k and is pretty bare bones if you don't add options.

Whereas this new 400Z is expected to have a starting price of ~$35K. Different trim packages will result in a ~$35-45K price.

Nissan dealers MIGHT have a markup once these hit the floor, but the Supra is overpriced to begin with.

The 35k base price is huge speculation though as we don't know Nissan's official pricing yet. I am doubtful it will be that low considering the Miata Club with BBS/Brembo and BRZ tS are both around 30k and are a whole power level under the B58 Supra and 400z. However, if it is that low, it might not be the preferred trim like the Camaro LT1 (which also starts at around 35k for the V8 but lacks in everything else).

The base B58 Supra for 51k at least comes with 4 piston Brembos in the front and a LSD, unlike the M240i and Z4 M40i, while being far cheaper.

Either way, it will be interesting to see them head to head once customers start getting their 400z.

It is a huge speculation. In fact, since I made the OP, the estimate is now $40k MSRP starting price... lol so maybe it'll slot right between the 2.0L and 3.0L Supra after options.

Isn’t it a re-skinned 370Z? Same power plant with tech and exterior updates? What are the most prominent deficiencies the new Z will fix vs the old one?

The prototype had a twin-turbo V6 and reports say that Nissan will offer it with a 6 speed manual!
