I haven’t got too much time to do things on the car due to a crazy cocktail bet. Married with kids & lethargy – just reading posts, however I want to report for those looking for a decent summer rubber: I recently got myself a set of Bridgestone Potenza S007A, it’s an Extreme Performance Summer tire, with a VERY GOOD PRICE & a capable performance in the rain, generally on this category the tires are pretty scary to drive them in regular basis in the rain, however this tire is pretty good tho, overall it has a superb grip & they don’t take long to get grippy. Time will tell about the tire degradation but judging for the visual inspection, I think they can be comparable with a set of Conti & Michelin on the lower Max Performance Summer category, for the price, it is a good thing!

Later I will put true pictures, hope this helps!

I am curious on this tire now. Was set on getting the Michelin P4S and this threw a wrench in it.

Also we still need pics of your lightweight battery install!!

I was going to buy the P4S too, then I began to check the tires on the upper category and found the Potenza ones, it is relatively new tire. As for The CR-V battery bracket project is cancelled. I'm going in a different route.

Very composed vs. the stock wheel set, a bit harder than my old all season set 18" on the same RPF1 (understandable). There is not a noticeable noise, louder than the stock tire, due its design tread, you pick up less rocks in the road too and due the nature of the compound, now is a bit harder to make the tire chirp, which is a good thing.

Making it harder for me to decide now. It is good to have options. If I had to guess the Michelin P4S probably has better comfort/noise. However this S007A being the category it is should be more responsive handling. Decisions decisions.

I took this pictures today, they look very similar to the Michelin and Continental.

Compulsive purchases, miscellaneous :D

Side engine covers: good decent option vs. A more expensive original ones, $60 Shipped & arrival was stupid fast 2 days only.

And this was from a very smart fellow owner from the FB page-(Thanks!), in how to cover the aftermarket lock nut, it works like a charm, you can find them at Lowe’s, $2.

Taking the placebo “effect “ route, until I finally decide which intake to go with.

Feedback: imediatly you install it, you can feel the difference, after 50 miles, either the car hides the initial upgraded power feel or you just forget about it - not bad for $40, on a stock car.

I’ve being waiting on the release of some supporting hardware for my car, in the meantime I decided to attack the exterior of the car.

The Muse small tweaks was the test stage BTCC car, I love the way it looks!

Getting inspiration from it, I got the car “sunglasses”, this mod is completely reversible and easy to install (Velcro backed patches).

Visually it gives the car a more menacing look, without the trade of a permanent mod, such as fog light layers.

Note: this is for the looks ONLY, not intended to have ON when the fog lights are needed, however they can be used as protection when at the track.

I’m sure you guys have seen this one already, via YouTube..

Another mode I decided to go with: the taillight layers, this kit really gives the tails some visual presence. I’m not sure how it would look in other colors, but as far for the black it looks super nice.

FYI: the install on each one took me about 30 min. Not easy for beginners: particularly me, with patient or it came out really good, just be gentle with the wrap.

Hope this helps to bring some ideas to the table.
