I got another gem ordered and on the way, decided to go all PRL for the induction side. The 27won inlet pipe is great and no complaints but I just decided to switch to the prl Inlet setup.

I'll see what my iats are with this once installed and report back. I'm thinking of gold wrapping the bottom half that sits above the turbo. I'm not totally a fan of the entire pipe wrapped in the gold tape but may half wrap it.

There is a negligable benefit with wrapping the intake in gold or silver reflective tape. Most people I find do it for the looks like I have done. Thermal wrapping the downpipe or a turbo blanket are sure proven ways to improve IAT just be sure you don't thermal wrap your intake piping because it's design to keep heat in!

I've had the PRL inlet installed for about 2 weeks now and its....nice? I haven't really noticed anything besides more efficient airflow in terms of the LTFT and such trims. Seems nice and the ability to remove the titanium with just 2 clamps is a game changer compared to the 27won. Suuuuper convenient considering Im just waiting on my catback to show up so i can install the PRL FP/DP. Install was a PIMA though.

Yeah I'm not sold I'm the reflective tape but thought I would try it.. I have my turbo jethot coated to help with the heat, will wrap the dp/fp eventually as well. Thanks for the info!

I went with the aluminum reflective silver tape. I wrapped it as best I could but as you can tell it's not perfect. Hardly a difference maybe a half a degree while driving and a few while idling? Did it mostly for looks since I didn't want to repaint my intake tubing :p

My curiosity is mostly due to how much hotter the 27won tip is compared to the stock TIP

Honestly the air passes through the TIP so quickly and there is so little surface area it probably doesn't make much of a difference. I'm sure the increased flow out weights the heat transfer properties. It's not like an intercooler that has tons of fins therefore creating more surface area the air flow through.

The 27won tip is a big aluminum sink and heats the whole engine bay. I saw a 10-15° bump after installing and ended up changing intakes. Just curious if the titanium would a difference with that

Will see, I know when Im moving the iats are low but when stopped it will go up. I'll compare iats once I install.

I'll use this as baseline with 27won since I take the same drive every day, I took pictures right when I parked in my spot at home. Ambient temp 71

Inlet pipe should arrive tom. Tomorrow morning going to swap out the fortune shocks and springs and install inlet pipe. Should be a productive day.

Got alot done today, replaced front coilovers shock insert and upgraded to swift 10k springs. Also installed prl Inlet pipe.

The biggest difference with the inlet pipe is I can't hear the recirc valve as good as with the 27won inlet pipe.
