I kinda like the look of the current gen Focus. That new one looks awful. Yuck.

I qualify for a Z-plan employee pricing on Fords through my Dad so I'm closely following the next ST.

After looking at more pics, it's not as bad as I first thought. Kinda reminds me of a cross between the Mazda 3 and new Elantra GT.

Wen this comes to the US my guess is there will be a US factory to build for NA. That said I think it looks decent for a non ST/RS trim level. I expect those to look better.

As a previous owner of a 2013 Focus, I can definitely confirm this, but if they fixed the transmission problems that they had on the DCT of the previous generation (why I sold the focus and bought a 2018 Civic) , then at least its drive-able .

Any pics of the interior yet? I saw the exterior yesterday and was literally like "Oh."

It's not making me turgid with joy.

Exterior looks like a station wagon, not a hatch. Previous gen were decidedly clean on the exterior. Wife had a 2013 focus hatch before replacing it with a 17 Civic sedan (dealer had no white hatches). Not missed at all. Clearly being marketed to a different demographic than this forum... But we'll see what the RS looks like.

bro that is a wagon. They have them in europe. The hatch is in the other pix.
Yeah, you're right. Seeing that now. Looks like Ford is picking up some front-end styling from Toyota, and it's a bit more iterative of a mini-crossover, if that makes sense. Not really a fan of the front end, but lol, definitely a lot better than the wagon. The wagon model is hideous, especially in that color.

That's actually crazy, so glad I decided to sell it. It is a shame though because the handling and steering feel of them was really good and the rest of the car wasn't too bad at all.

Surprised Ford used a DCT in the car. I've heard horror stories about it.
