Just get used to it and enjoy. Car is perfect as it sits imo - nothing really to watch out for just get used to it and have fun!

car is not garaged. Any issues or concern about the rain getting through? Is there a venT cover?

I got mine ceramic coated the other day. I don't have a garage, only a carport so I need to have the paint protected even underneath a car cover. Ceramic coating is the way to go. It may be a little pricey, but it will protect your original factory paint and of course your Type R investment.

For those running the CTR 20” wheels and tires, how often are you having to get new tires?

Transmission sucks, paint sucks, a/c sucks, interior gets lots of creaks and rattles, stock wheel/tires setup sucks, head unit sucks.

Better synchromesh + shifter mods, ppf or ceramic coat and pray, nothing you can do about interior rattles since it's a Honda, swap out the wheels and tires unless you want bent/cracked wheel and a blowout (maybe get spare tire kit), and nothing you can do about head unit.

Otherwise great car.

Depends how hard you run it - people that don't drive hard ~10-15000 miles - I swapped my fronts at 7k due to too much entertainment.

Drive it like you stole it -= tires sooner rather than later

If you live in a state where the weather fluctuates I'd invest in good A/S tires.

Also I def recommend a Good Ceramic coat. Protect this paint its thin

dont skimp on the ceramic coating and swap out the 20's to 18/19s only if you live with terrible roads. other than that, just drive it

A good PPF and detail goes a long way when maintaining your paint especially if its not garaged.

One of the first things I did was swap my trans fluid to Amsoil and it really helps with shifting. These cars tend to hate aggressive 1-2 shifts.

Change your oil sooner than your maintenance minder indicates!
