Looks pretty cool! I'm very interested to hear about your experience with using it untethered to a phone (using a SIM card connection). I attempted to do something similar with a Dasaita Android head unit a few months ago along with using a mobile hotspot in the car, but there were too many quirks that ended up leaving me unsatisfied and went back to the stock head unit.

Are you still going to have a bluetooth connection to your phone for phone calls, or will the SIM in the head unit handle calls?

Sport touring has it, the Sport does not.

Still getting it all hooked up, Wiring amps and new speakers this weekend. I was just test fitting it in those pictures

The 7" screen was a decent upgrade for 2020, but overall kind of outdated. This looks very interesting!

I’ll probably get this and modify the chassis and add a bigger heat sink as many of them suffer from overheating. I’ll make sure it functions before opening it up.

I am already wiring an 120mm fan to blow across the unit. It did get hot after the quick 20 mins of testing I did.

How bright does the screen get? Is it enough to overcome the sun shining on it? My plan for this thing is to load up Uber to make it easier on me.

I would be extremely suspicious of putting dubious, always online Chinese electronics into my car with a deep connection to it, but that's just because I'm a software engineer and read about how the Chinese government and their software works.
