Hello civicx, pretty new here. I bought my first civic earlier this month, EX-L coupe, and I love it. I'd like to get nicer wheels/tires for summer and swap to the stocks for winter going forward. Right now I'm on the stock 17x7, but they had 235/45 on them which to me seems pretty wide for a 7inch rim. I wanted to go to 18s and also wanted some clarification on offset. From what research I've done 18x8 +40 and 18x8.5 +35 seem to be safe? I plan on staying at stock height but would consider springs years down the road when stock suspension gets issues. I royally messed up tire size on my last vehicle and wanted someone with experience to suggest tire size for stock height, with the possibility of lowering a bit in the future. Also wanted to know if the 235 I have now would pose a problem lowered.
