Hey everyone, I finally joined the Type R club last week! I've been drooling over the Type R since 2002, and once they came to the US, I knew I'd eventually have one.
The best part is, I owned a 2019 and a 2021 all in a span of 4 days lol!
The first pic is the 2019 I picked up from Carmax. It was great but I really wanted something new, considering most people don't take as good care of their cars as I do, and because I always worry about what bolts someone might've left loose or snapped prior to me owning the car.
Carmax allows a 7 day return policy that allows you to return a car to any Camrax for a 100% refund, so after picking up the 2019 I started scouring dealers in CA to see if I could find someone with a new one that wasn't marked up 10-20k.nAs luck would have it, 4 days later I was able to make a deal with Long Beach Honda. They sold the car for MSRP, so I drove the 2019 CTR down there, bought the 2021, hopped in the 2019 and drove it down the road to the Torrence Carmax, returned it, then caught an Uber back to the 2021! Lol, all of this happened last Thursday after a 4hr drive, barley making it to the Carmax with 15mins to spare before they closed. Everything worked out perfectly, it was definitely meant to be.
The plan is to keep it mostly stock, but we know how that goes.
Below are pics of my WRX and Mustang GT, both were built and tuned for for Redline and Global Time Attack Street Class competition. The WRX was a modest build, pushing about 300whp. the mustang was running on the Ford Performance power pack stage 3, making about 495hp at the crank and a redline of 7500!
I definitely won't be tracking the CTR, at least not any time soon. I will absolutely be changing out the wheels to something lighter and with a little more sidewall. IDFK yolo
