Any idea if this will cover the entire cost (recharging the system, replacing seals, etc)?

With this, they can still just claim road debris damage.

I mean a large hole would indicate rock damage. They are looking for small holes or corrosion. You can always ask to see the damage as well once they remove the condenser

Ok. What I’m seeing is predominantly Honda claiming road debris damage even with 1 year old Civics. I’m not sure how this changes that potential.

This gives you hope that when your AC fail at 40k miles you still have a chance to get it covered where before you were up shit creek. Remember, if denied warranty, always ask why and to see the proof

A step in the right direction, however there have been multiple components failing in the AC system including the compressor.

After decades and decades in being in the automobile business, right now Honda is having trouble implementing a reliable AC system.
can't fault them for a manufacturing defect on a product they didnt make though. Kind of sad it took 4 years but here we are and they are making it right

Makes me wonder if this is what got my condenser replaced during the whistle investigation. Considering I didn't have a temperature or speed to cold issue, maybe they did the work due to knowing it was going to fail and they were in there messing around and decided to just to it all at the same time.

I am having AC issues so if it go to a dealership and refer to TSB 19-091 they should replace mine if there is no road damage right?

Not sure about it being automagic but one thing is for sure, if you manage to get road damage on the AC condenser, Achievement Unlocked! Seriously, it is rather buried in there and if you have a turbo, even more protected by the intercooler. The whole front bumper cover has to come off to change it.

What I'd like to know is if I'll get reimbursed the $700 they charged me to fix this... waiting to get this notification mailed to me.
