It’s not totally hideous
I'd agree. I really don't mind it that much. It almost makes me think of what people in the 90's thought cars would look like by now. That wing actually looks pretty nice on that body.

If I can't get my hands on a 10th gen R new from a dealer, this might not be too bad. AWD too??? FINALLY. And especially if that yellow makes it into a standard color offering....

Not sure about the taillights, but otherwise it's not so bad looking.

The rear end looks reminiscent of the FK2. Not sure how I feel about it

I'm not a fan of the D-pillar rear wing area. That large vertical painted panel that the wing mounts to looks awkward to me, but this is only a rendering based on spy shots, so the production version could be quite different. I also don't think the production hatch will have that rear window behind the back doors. I hate those taillights, but I like the front end.

The front end reminds me a lot of the last generation Accord Euro-R. The back end is too similar to the FN2/FK2 for my tastes, even with the AWD aspect I like the FK8 just fine.

I don't know, if true it would obviously be able to reestablish the various track records. And If so, then why bother with the 2021 LE?

Sure, the development costs for the LE are pretty low, but why even bother if a '22 R is going to be available that would regain all those records.

*shrug*

It is about Money, and the Type R platform is bringing Honda Money in....they don't care about setting records on the track. I'm sure some of the people who brought this car don't care about it track record either. They just want an exclusive Honda.

If it's AWD will it be setting any records though?

Anybody willing to trade in their 17-20 CR for 2022 ?
Honestly, no, but I think it's going to be a fantastic car.

I've had a 2008 STi, a 2005 WRX, a 2014 EVO - I LOVE AWD. But the FWD Type R just feels very light and a bit frantic at the limit. It's such a fun feeling.

I'd love one of these, but as a second / different flavor to the one I have presently. Would I want it as the primary car? Don't know for sure, would have to drive it, but I think that lightness taken through corners and that ability to kick things around a bit would be lost.

Not a bad thing, just a different thing.

Enjoying the hell out of my 19 and just glad more cool cars are coming out. Kudos to Honda for bringing the pain right out of the gates to the Subaru STi that is supposed to debut in 2022 lol!

2022 Horsepower wars - man that sounds good to write.

The more fun cars the better imo!

This looks interesting! I hope the wheel specs are still 5x120
