My console illumination + installation was $514. I thought it was ridiculous, but I did want it and didn't want warranties voided with it. I personally think it's sexy, and although there's an amount that would make it "not worth it," I was willing to purchase it still.
$514 is a lot more than I figured this would cost to install, but it does not really surprise me. This information just cured me from wanting this.

It's doable, just takes a lot of patience. I've had zero experience in modding a car or even doing any form of maintenance on one. Decided to change all that with the purchase of this one. Read the instructions a couple times and youtube videos (to see diff techniques on how to remove panels) before I would even begin to start. Probably took longer than the average to expert to complete but saved myself loads on labor/installation cost.
I ordered it from hondapartsguys.com, and it fit perfectly in my 2016 Civic EX-L sedan. Instead of two different size holes, neither of which worked well for my travel mug, I now have two identical ones that hold the mug securely.
Hmmm, I may have to order those cup holders myself.
attempting to determine if the raised / illuminated armrest will install without issue on a 2016 touring ?I can take one during day time as well. Not sure if you can tell ftom pics, but to me it feels as if the armrest isn't getting enough juice.
Does the illumination only trigger when youCompleted the armrest upgrade with illumination....lights up when door is open.
I don't have this one, but I have the rest of the other available illumination kits, these illumination stay on when headlight is on, and they're adjustable with the cluster dimmer.
